“Topher” talks season two
Posted by Lisa • On August 10, 2009 • No Comments

At this point, I’m going to assume that all my visitors who are interested in Dollhouse have watched all the episodes.  If you haven’t, read no further as this does contain spoilers.

Scifiwire recently posted a short article about the Dollhouse episode ‘Epitaph One’ and the effect it will have on the upcoming season two. In it, they talk to Fran Kranz, who plays Topher on the show, and here’s what he had to say about Amy and her character Dr. Saunders:

Even without jumping ahead, Topher has a lot to answer for when Dollhouse returns. Dr. Saunders (Amy Acker) learned she was a doll, whom Topher programmed to hate him.

“In season two, we address that pretty much immediately,” Kranz said. “Dr. Saunders—Amy Acker and I, who’s the best—we work across the hall from each other, so we can’t avoid each other. All that kind of awkwardness ensues, and it gets pretty dark. I have to answer to her eventually. That’s going to be really exciting. Right now, Topher’s a little down on himself, and he’s starting to think like, ‘Wow, one of the most beautiful things I created hates me. Maybe I’m a bad guy.’”

‘Dollhouse’ season two update
Posted by Lisa • On August 05, 2009 • No Comments

A few quotes from various sources about Amy in the upcoming second season of Dollhouse.

Amy Acker is back in the ‘house for a while. There had been a bit of query as to if she can appear at all, as she’s in ABC’s Happy Town this season. Well, for the record, she’s back in the first episode of season two.

Joss Whedon says despite her commitments to Happy Town, Acker will be back for Season 2, though not nearly as much as he would like her to be. But, he hinted, in her few episodes, they’re really going to make the most of her.

The other bit he revealed revolved around Amy Acker, who, as we all know, was cast in the ABC midseason series Happy Town.  She was, if I remember correctly, just a guest star for most of the first season, and if she doesn’t appear in the second, then it’s a shame, for they’d have some complications discussing what they’d do to Dr. Saunders.  I mean, Whiskey.

But he’s got good news, sort of: she is returning.  “It is not nearly as much as we would like, but we are going to make the most of her in those few,” he said.

‘21 & a Wake Up’ Chicago screenings
Posted by Lisa • On August 03, 2009 • 4 Comments

My apologies if you saw my previous post which has now been deleted.  There was some confusion (on my part) about when the screening was.  I now have further information about this which you can read below.

There are three screenings of Amy’s movie 21 and a Wake Up scheduled in the Chicago area for the month of August.  One was held last night (August 2nd), and the remaining two are on August 16th and 30th.  If you live near Chicago, you can request free tickets by visiting this link for more information.  The link also contains a new 60 second trailer for the movie featuring some new footage of Amy.  I will get screencaptures up as soon as I can.  Also, according to someone who went to the screening last night the director is now aiming for a September theatrical (limited) release.  I will post more as I find out.
